Commencing in 2024, this major renovation modernizes the 1994 Windermere landmark, upgrading interior infrastructure and exterior campus systems to bring the building up to modern performance codes while honoring its classic white precast architecture:
Interior LED Conversion: Replaced and retrofitted architectural downlights and accent fixtures throughout ceremonial, instructional, and patron spaces with high-CRI LED sources, matching existing color temperatures while improving visual comfort and reducing long-term maintenance.
Architectural Lighting Controls: Integrated a modern, centralized architectural control system, allowing seamless, flicker-free dimming and pre-programmed scene transitions tailored to daily operations and ceremonial use.
Decorative Fixture Retrofits & Hoists: Cleaned, rewired, and retrofitted existing crystal chandeliers, pendants, and wall sconces with LED lamping to preserve their original warm glow. Coordinated the addition of motorized chandelier hoists, streamlining routine maintenance access while significantly improving overhead seismic restraint and structural security.
Façade & Spires: Replaced the exterior floodlighting and grazing packages with precision, low-glare optics to illuminate the white precast stone exterior, stepped towers, and central spire, reinforcing its prominent nighttime reflection across the surrounding lake while eliminating light spill into nearby residential envelopes.
Façade & Site Lighting: Updated exterior floodlighting and landscape fixtures with precision optics, illuminating the white precast stone, tiered towers, and grounds while mitigating glare and protecting surrounding lake view corridors.
