This comprehensive renovation of the mid-century landmark updated all interior and exterior lighting systems, pairing high-efficiency equipment with the building’s original 1960s architectural character:
Interior Progression: Replaced all interior fixtures with quiet downlighting and discrete perimeter wall washes, balancing vertical brightness on rich wood paneling, original murals, and stone finishes to support a calm, ceremonial progression.
Decorative & Historic Fixtures: Cleaned, rewired, and retrofitted existing decorative chandeliers and wall sconces with custom LED sources, preserving their historic craftsmanship while drastically reducing maintenance demands.
Exterior & Façade: Re-engineered the exterior lighting package with precision, low-glare floodlights and grazing fixtures to accentuate the building's distinct cast-stone panels, perforated screens, and soaring central spires against the Bay Area skyline.
Gardens & Grounds: Upgraded pathway and landscape lighting throughout the campus, incorporating low-level bollards, step lights, and handrail lighting to enhance nighttime visitor circulation while maintaining clear sightlines across the reflecting pools and surrounding terraces.
