Completed ahead of the temple's 2021 rededication, this three-year project stripped back decades of disjointed alterations to recover the 1927 building’s neoclassical and Prairie School character. The work paired rigorous architectural restoration with a completely rebuilt lighting system across the building and grounds:

Interior: Replaced all interior sources and restored historic luminaires, using a structured sequence of light levels to guide the contemplative ceremonial progression.

Façade: Concealed fixtures behind low parapet walls and within perimeter planting beds to graze the pilasters from below, pulling the column fluting and terra cotta friezes into sharp relief.

Reflecting Pool: Calibrated exterior aiming angles against sightlines across the restored western reflecting pool, producing a mirror image on the water that anchors the building to its event landscape.
